About Me

I am the single mother of two children, Zayne(9) and Zoe(7). We have undergone many trails in this life but we have stayed strong and believe that we can do all things through Christ which gives us strength. Each child has a significant medical issue. Zayne was born with a complex heart defect and has undergone three open heart surgeries. He also has Asplenia, Scolosis, Dewaynes Syndrome, Hypoglocemia, ADHD, and diminished pulmonary functioning... However if you met him and played with him... you would never know it.... He also has undergone a Ladd procedure to straighen his malroatated bowels, remove his appendix which was on the wrong side as most of his internal organs are and a skin graph after an IV burn on his left hand. Zoe his little sister was recently diagnosised with glaucoma suspect and will soon undergo a second opinion to determine if she in fact has glaucoma and if she has any vision loss. But what I can say... despite all this... we have learned to enjoy life and live each day like it was the last. Remember God never promised any of us another day...

Reflections

As I sit here tonight reflecting on my day... I have to ask myself... why does God allow little lives to come into this world.. to seemingly suffer and then only to leave so soon... There are so many children who come into this world and have to suffer for so long.... but what is the purpose... while I know they touch so many lives and bring about many many miracles... it just seems so heart breaking and the ones who really seem to be touched by the miralces are really not those who need to know about them... Am I missing the whole point here.....This just leave me feeling sad....

So I guess the thought here is .. make sure you hug your kids everyday... makes sure you are understanding they are just kids... and they make mistakes... love.. laugh.. and live...

Here we go.......

Here is my first post... as you can we are under construction at this time... I hope in the near future to be able to add information and update on this journey we call LIFE.... I am hoping this will keep friends informed... inspire others, and just be a place to tell about the amazing adventure I am on with two very talented and great kids... So stay tuned, come back often to visit... and always remember back door guest are always the best....
